Christmas celebrations in Bethlehem attracted only some 3,000 people. Santas and balloons graced a parade in the town of Jesus’ birth on Dec. 25, and vans broadcast carols in English and Arabic. Most of the celebrants were locals and foreign workers living in Israel.
