Condoleezza Rice met with an Israeli adviser to Ariel Sharon to discuss the political prospects of Sharon’s Gaza withdrawal plan. President Bush’s national security adviser met Tuesday with Dov Weisglass, who assured her that Sharon still backed the plan even though it was rejected by the Likud Party’s membership in a referendum last month.
