December 14, 1930
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

The protest from Jewish quarters against the order of High Commissioner Chancellor to discontinue Sunday work at the Athlit quarries continues. The local Jewish chamber of commerce, the community council, the rabbinate and the workers council at a joint meeting today protested that this action was contrary to the Mandate. The Hebrew press is also expressing indignation at this action which means that Jewish workmen at the quarries must either work on Saturday or lose a day’s pay.
