Five Jewish workingmen and four members of an orthodox Jewish organization were tried today for disturbing the peace when they engaged in a quarrel over the sale of a Saturday edition of the “Volkszeitung”.
The incident occurred when the “Volkezeitung”, organ of the Bund, began to appear on Saturday, causing a protest from the orthodox Jews.
All the accused were acquitted.
