The Nazi newspaper Volksdeutsche, published in Cracow, German-occupied Poland, reports formation of a “fire brigade” to set fire to synagogues, sacred Jewish books and Scrolls of the Law. The paper adds that hundreds of German boys and girls have volunteered for the work.
