Croatia’s foreign minister condemned on behalf of his government the suffering of Jews in wartime Croatia and the “crime of genocide of 6 million Jews.” Mate Granic, who made this comment in a statement after visiting the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Israel, also said he expected that the extradition of Dinko Sakic, a former Croatian concentration camp commander, would take place within the next two weeks. Granic is the first Croatian government leader to visit Israel since the two countries established diplomatic relations in September.
