The $100,000 Robert E. Franks Memorial of the American Boys’ Commonwealth of Chicago was dedicated today with elaborate ceremonies. The building, which will be conducted and controlled by the Young Men’s Jewish Charities of Chicago, was erected to honor the memory of Robert E. Franks by his father, the late Jacob Franks.
Moses Levitan, chairman of the memorial committee of the Y.M.J.C., declared that the opening of this building in the heart of the Jewish section of Chicago’s west side marks a forward step in boys’ work in this city.
