Deny Grant of Manganese and Copper Concessions

December 12, 1930
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

The report that the Palestine government had granted concessions for the development of valuable manganese and copper deposits in the Akaba region of the Red Sea is not true, it is officially stated. Only prospecting licenses have been granted to the two Englishmen who were alleged to have received exploitation permits. The statement that the copper and manganese deposits are worth $125,000,000 is exaggerated, the deposits being extremely limited.
