Dr. Abraham Rubashov, brother of President Zalman Shazar, died last night in Jerusalem from a heart attack at the age of 74. He suffered the attack at 2 a.m. and was taken immediately to a hospital but efforts to save him failed and he died early this morning.
The President was informed about his brother’s death in the presence of his personal physician. The brothers were very close and one of the President’s great joys had been the arrival of Dr. Rubashov in Israel two years ago from the Soviet Union. Last year, his son and daughter joined him here.
