Dr. Ralph Bunche, director of the United Nations Trusteeship Council, has been named to receive the 1950 Interfaith Award of the New York Department of the Jewish War Veterans, it was announced today by Arthur J. Aronson, department commander.
The award is for Dr. Bunche’s “outstanding contributions in the betterment of human relations among all peoples,” Mr. Aronson said. In the form of a plaque, the award will be given to Dr. Bunche on May 17.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
