Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress, expressed his deep satisfaction with the decision of the Board of Deputies to accept his invitation to join the WJC. He said that the very large majority in favor of the decision was especially gratifying. He had always attached great importance to having the Board of Deputies participate fully in the work of the WJC, and looked forward to very fruitful cooperation, Dr. Goldmann said. He expressed this view in a letter to Sir Samuel Fisher, president of the Board of Deputies.
