Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress, today received a Rosh Hashanah greeting from the Jewish community in Katanga, the province in the Republic of the Congo, expressing the hope that the New Year may see “the achievement of happiness, peace and prosperity for Jews everywhere, for Israel and for the whole world. The Katanga community is a member of the Congress. The message was signed by Jacob Soriano and Ghedaliah Franco, president and vice-president, respectively, of the Katanga Jewish Community.
