Dr. Solomon Lefschetz, professor emeritus of mathematics at Princeton University, was one of 11 scientists who received yesterday the National Medal of Science from President Johnson.
The President told the medal winners that “the effort we make to support, sustain and advance our science is vital to the success of all our national purposes.”
