During the last few months Young Mapam and Hashomer Hatzair have initiated the establishment of communes of members of the Kibbutz Artzi Hashomer Hatzair youth movement in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The young people in these communes live in the heart of the big cities and work in poverty neighborhoods in an attempt to organize constructive activities and to impart the social values of the kibbutz to city youth.
