The Netherlands, which has had its Embassy in Jerusalem since February, 1949, has no intention of moving it to Tel Aviv. Foreign Minister Christoph Van Der Klaauw is determined in that matter, according to a report by the diplomatic correspondent of the daily NRC Handelsblad. There have been no Arab threats in this respect, the report stated. The Arabs have brought pressure on governments whose embassies are located in Tel Aviv not to transfer them to Jerusalem but have not, as yet, approached countries that have maintained embassies in Jerusalem from the time they established diplomatic relations with Israel. According to the report, the Arabs do not want to disrupt Hol-land’s good relations with Israel which may be valuable to themselves some day as a third party.
