Egyptian security forces arrested a Palestinian suspected of planning a suicide bombing against Israelis. The Palestinian was arrested in the northern Sinai town of Al-Arish, Egyptian security sources said. It was not clear whether the suspect wanted to cross into Israel for the attack or strike Israelis vacationing at the Egyptian Red Sea.
Egyptian security forces also said they had arrested nine Sinai Egyptians on suspicion of terrorist activities.
