Egypt’s president urged Israel to hold talks with the Palestinian Authority under Hamas. “Hamas was elected by the Palestinian people and Israel needs to recognize that. It’s necessary to recognize this fact in the course of political processes,” Hosni Mubarak told reporters Monday during a visit to Austria.
