The “Einstein Fund for Palestine” got under way today under the sponsorship of the Council of Jewish Organizations in behalf of the United Palestine Appeal for $3,500,000.
Organized as a tribute to the famous scientist in honor of his 57th birthday yesterday, the fund will solicit gifts not exceeding one dollar per person. Donors will sign their names to a testimonial volume to be presented to Prof. Einstein.
