“ethrog and Lulav” Flown to Germany from Palestine for Use During Succoth

Over 100 sets of palm leaves and citron have arrived here from Palestine by air to be used in observances of Succoth this week-end, it was disclosed today.

Major Judah Naidich, adviser on Jewish affairs to Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, said that the “ethrog and lulav” will be distributed to the Jews in displaced persons camps in Germany and Czechoslovakia.

Major Naidich reported that bibles, greeting cards and other ceremoniel items were distributed during the High Holidays to synagogues, wherever they have been established, and in assembly camps.
