Leaders of European Jewry overwhelmingly approved a resolution Sunday urging the Israeli government not to amend the Law of Return as demanded by the ultra-Orthodox parties in Israel.
The issue was debated at a conference of the European Zionist Federation and Jewish community representatives here. It was attended by about 150 delegates from 12 Western European counties and from Israel.
