Fascist Crushed in British By-election

Another British Fascist was snowed under in a by election today when Sydney Allen, representing Sir Oswald Mosley’s British Union (formerly British Union of Fascists) was defeated by a 23,000-vote majority by J.J. Craik Henderson, Conservative, in the Northeast Division of Leeds. Tom Moran, a Fascist candidate, was overwhelmed in the Silvertown by-election on Feb. 23, won by a Laborite.
