First Ship Built for Israel in Germany Arrives at Haifa

The first passenger-freighter to be built for Israel by Germany as reparations payment arrived at the port of Haifa last night.

The vessel, Dagan, is one of six such vessels now under construction in German yards or being tested before acceptance by Israel crews. The Dagan will be assigned to citrus transportation immediately.
