Five Israeli soldiers were wounded, one of them seriously, when members of Hezbollah detonated a roadside bomb in the western sector of the southern Lebanon security zone. An Israeli helicopter fired on a Hezbollah target in retaliation. Meanwhile, an Israeli officer was wounded by mortar fire in a separate skirmish, and a member of the South Lebanon Army, Israel’s ally in the region, was wounded in a second roadside bombing.
