For the first time, Palestinian terrorists fired a Katyusha rocket at Israel from the Gaza Strip. The factory-made rocket, described in Israeli media as a Russian-made Katyusha, landed near Ashkelon on Tuesday but caused no casualties. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the launch but declined to elaborate on how the rocket got to the Gaza Strip.
