France Facilitates Naturalization of Aliens

Facilities to acquire French citizenship are being granted by the French government to foreign residents in France, according to a re-act in the French Chamber by Pierre Leval of the Ministry of the Interior.

During the year 1924, 6,000 foreigner were nationalized and 11,000 during 1925. Two thousand examinations of applicants for citizenship were heard last month. In order to accelerate the naturalization of aliens, the staff of the naturalization department has been enlarged. Persons without means are not charged the fee 19 francs.
