Frantisek Banyai was elected Nov. 10 as chairman of Prague’s Jewish community. Banyai received 18 of 24 votes on the community board, which itself was chosen Nov.6. The community has been plagued by internal strife for over a year, which Banyai and his supporters hope will end with the elections.
