Funeral services were held for Mrs. Flora Eichberg Mayer, widow of Josh W. Mayer, who was active in philanthropic work in this city.
Mrs. Mayer was fifty-eight years old. She was one of the first women to be elected a member of the board of trustees of Temple Israel.
She was active in a number of causes, making her contributions quietly and without ostentation. She received a bronze medal from the United States Government for her services as the head of a liberty loan group which far exceeded its quota.
She is survived by two sons, a brother and a sister.
