Gen. Nicholas Plastiras, who may become the new Greek Premier, declared today he wants Greece to be “the first friend” of Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean. The Jewish state, he asserted, is a “center of light for the world, where civilization of the Orient will be reborn.”
