A statement urging all residents of the Union of South Africa to resist vigorously subversive German propaganda was issued today by the German African Party, grouping naturalized Germans hostile to the Hitler regime.

“Hitler does not want only Southwest Africa,” the statement said. “Only South Africa can revive the German exchequer.”

Urging Germans to recall that “right and justice were the supreme law” in the pre Nazi Germany, the appeal added: “You can be sure that we would not fight the Hitler system if it brought blessings on our old home. The ideal of the German African Party is to be free and remain free.”
