Gestapo Officer Goes on Trial in Germany for Mass Murder of Jews

A German court in Bremen yesterday began trying former Gestapo Lieutenant Fritz Hildebrandt on charges of being responsible for the murder of thousands of Jews at several concentration carps he headed in Poland and the Carpathians. Thirty witnesses, including some who were summoned from new homes abroad, will testify against Hildebrandt.
