Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, who arrived here yesterday by El Al-Israel Airlines, will confer with State Department officials in Washington and with ranking United Nations officials here, during her five-week stay in this country, it was learned today.
Mrs. Meir will confer with Secretary of State Christian Herter and Undersecretary of State C. Douglas Dillon, on her visit to Washington. At the UN, she will talk with Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. During her visit to the United States and Canada, she will address rallies on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal and the Israel Bond organization in many of the major cities on the continent.
Next Sunday, she will receive an honorary degree from Smith College, at Northampton, Mass. The following day, she will be similarly honored at the University of Wisconsin, in Madison.
