Governor Julius L. Meier, Oregon’s only Jewish chief executive, will not be a candidate for re-election. The unexpected announceent was made this week in Governor Meier’s speech reviewing his administration.
Governor Meier’s term expires next January. He is one of America’s three Jewish governors.
