Important resolutions on the Korean situation, on the relationship between American Jewry and Israel, on the future of the Zionist movement and on the political situation in the Jewish state will be adopted at the 36th annual convention of Hadassah, opening on Sunday at the Waldorf-Astoria here, it was announced today.
More than 2,500 delegates and members from all parts of the country will attend the gathering at which a budget of $7,000,000 — the largest in the history of Hadassah — is expected to be adopted. The convention will also be asked to expand Hadassah work of interpreting Israel to the American public; to consider the possibility of building a new medical center in Jerusalem; to care for the increase in population there, as well as to perfect the “importation” of American medical know-how to Israel.
