The Union of American Hebrew Congregations has issued an appeal for funds. The Union, founded sixty years ago by Isaac M. Wise, has contributed a great deal toward the development of Jewish religious life in this country. The services, school curricula and pulpit of many American congregations have been greatly influenced by its existence.
