M. M. Ussishkin, Chanim Nachman Bialik and Dr. J. L. Magnes, Chancellor of the Hebrew University, were the guests of honor and spoke at the annual meeting of the Palestine Friends of the Hebrew University here, when large crowds came to celebrate the first anniversary of the Association. Mr. Ussishkin spoke feelingly on the functions of the Hebrew University, which must serve as a national, cultural and political centre for the Diaspora. Mr. Bialik spoke of national education.
