Honor Scientist Before Departure for Europe

Dr. Reuben L. Kahn, state immunologist in the department of health who will sail for Copenhagen April 18 to attend a serological conference of the League of Nations was tendered a dinner at the Hotel Kerns, before his departure from Lansing.

Rabbi Leo M. Franklin of Detroit was the principal speaker and Rabbi Adolph H. Fink, head of the Hillel foundation at the University of Michigan, acted as toastmaster. The banquet committee consisted of William Presents, Jack Baker and Samuel Rapaport.

Dr. Kahn will attend the medical conferences as the only American authority among five eminent serologists from Germany, France and England who will be present at the invitation of Dr. Thorwald Matson, chairman of the health committee of the League of Nations. Dr. Kahn will demonstrate his methods of the well known Kahn test for syphilis. Previous to his work in Copenhagen, Dr. Kahn will visit medical centers in London, Glasgow, Paris, Heidelberg, Berlin and other European cities.
