Funeral services were held here for Hyman Rogal, a founder of the United Jewish Fund, the predecessor agency of the United Jewish Federation, and father of Alvin Rogal, who was elected president this year of the United Jewish Federation. The elder Rogal died at the age of 73 of a heart attack. He was also active in the National Jewish Welfare Board, and a member of the board of the YM and YWHA of Pittsburgh for almost 50 years.
