In a demonstration of good will, an interdenominational luncheon meeting was held here at Temple Gemiluth Chassodim. Morris J. Weiss, president of the local Chamber of Commerce and state president of the B’nai B’rith, was chairman. Others present were Dr. Claybrook Cottingham, president of Louisiana College; Bishop Frank A. Smith, of Houston, Texas; Rabbi Albert Baum, chairman of the American Red Cross; Will Hochbaum, chairman of the City Welfare Bureau, and Mrs. E. Dykes, parish agricultural agent.
