Indian Tribe Sends Gift to United Jewish Appeal

The United Jewish Appeal today announced receipt of a contribution from the Takinis, a tribe of South Dakota Indians who 50 years ago escaped massacre. The gift was forwarded with a letter of “best wishes to you, your people and your work” by Rudolf Hertz, superintendent of the Dakota Indian Parish of Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
