Iraq’s new president said he was inspired to pursue a career in politics by Benjamin Netanyahu. Ghazi Al-Yawer told the Arabic newspaper A-Sharq Al-Awsat last week that his interest in a political career was sparked when he watched a television program on the life of Netanyahu, who twice interrupted his studies to serve in the Israeli army at war.
