Israel Alter, famous cantor of the State Temple, in Hanover, Germany, arrived yesterday in New York on the S. S. Stattendam. Cantor Alter who comes to the U. S. for an extensive concert tour gave his American debut last year at Carnegie Hall. He was then hailed by the press which praised his powerful voice and his unusual musical ability.
