Israel and Egypt are launching joint strategic initiatives, Israel’s defense minister said. Shaul Mofaz said Monday the initiatives will include deploying Egyptian forces at the Philadelphia corridor, which runs along Egypt’s border with the Gaza Strip, as well as security cooperation against terrorism.
