Lt. Col. Haim Gaon and Col. Azmi Nashashibi, the Israel and Jordan chief representatives to the Israel Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission, met today in the office of United Nations truce supervisor Gen. William E. Riley to work out details of the plan to have local commanders meet to ease border tensions and prevent further aggression.
The communiqué which announced the meeting made no mention of the progress made at the discussions. It revealed that the next joint meeting would be held on Monday.
