Israel has banned as misleading the use of “mild” and “light” on cigarette labels. Tuesday’s decision by the Knesset Finance Committee, which will take effect in September, comes amid mounting calls to raise awareness of smoking-related health problems, which claim 10,000 Israeli lives each year.
