The Israel supply mission in the United States recently placed orders for $500, 000 worth of spare parts for agricultural equipment in Israel, which was obtained through various American projects aiding the Jewish State, the Israel Office of Information here announced today. Additional purchases will be made this week. The mission has also bought equipment to be used at the Dead Sea potash works.

The Israeli consulate here has been approached by private firms from Haita and Colombia with suggestions for the initiation of trade between their countries and Israel. From Haiti came the suggestion that Israel could barter local cement for Haitian coffee and sugar. The consulate is trying to work out some such barter arrangements.
