Israel President Ben Zvi today sent a message of congratulations to Dwight D. Eisenhower on the occasion of his inauguration as President of the United States. The cable said:

“On the occasion of your inauguration I extend the best wishes of the people of Israel as well as my own best wishes for your personal well-being and success. The people not only of the United States but of many nations look to you for inspiring guidance and wise leadership in these critical days. It is the hope and prayer of all of us that your period in office will be attended by an era of happiness and prosperity, and above all of true peace.”
