The first full sized oil drilling rig from America to be transported to Israel is being dismantled in the oil fields of Wichita Falls. Texas, and will be delivered to the new State this summer, it was announced here today. Participating in a special -ceremony to mark the beginning of the dismantling work was official of Pontiac Petroleum, which will operate the rig in Israel, and the State of Israel Bond organization.
Spokesmen of the oil company explained that the oil-drilling rig to be Bent to Israel will be modified so that it will be capable of drilling to a depth of 20,000 feet Shipment, via New Orleans, will requite the use of 30 trailer trucks. A full operating crew from Pontiac’s field staff in Texas will accompany the rig.
