Israeli and Arab defense officials attended a conference organized by the Pentagon and the University of California at Los Angeles. The conference, held in Garmisch, Germany, focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the threat of terrorism to world peace. Arab officials came from Lebanon, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority.
