Israeli and Egyptian sources denied reports that Cairo is considering political and economic sanctions against Israel. The denials, quoted in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, followed a report on an Arabic television station that Egypt is considering temporarily cutting ties with Israel because of its handling of the 10 months of violence with the Palestinians.
