Israeli and Palestinian negotiators at Camp David are moving closer toward “an understanding” on the status of Jerusalem, according to an Israeli source. Under the evolving deal, the source said, Jerusalem’s borders would be expanded to include several Jewish settlements in the West Bank, while the Palestinians would gain control over neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem. Palestinian officials are claiming that no progress is being made.
